Some time ago I was fortunate enough to buy a German Kurzhaar dog, and instantly we were caught by this breed. This type of dog is a hunting one and during many years they were preferred by the hunters for their extraordinary abilities. They are also called brac dogs.
Selective Race
There are two main breeds of bracts: the german short-haired (Kurzhaar) and the German brass with wiry hair (drahtaar). But there are two other representatives, namely, the Italian sparrow and the dwarf Musterlander. Generally divided into several groups, taking into account pedigree criteria, utility, different features, etc. At Delmisci, we are generally focusing on hunting breeds.
In-house training and contests
By gaining experience over time, we’ve managed to organize training sessions for many dog contests. We are especially involved in training the hunting kennel. Our training techniques are generally based on the puppy’s attention and often we personalize them according to the temperament of each individual.
Hunting
The Kurzhaars are intelligent dogs, active and very hard working on the field but also calm and quiet at home. Sensitive animals but sometimes stubborn. They are obedient and devoted to the master. They have very good hearing and great sense of smell. Canine experts often say that in order to have a very good hunting dog, most matter genetic, contact with natural hunting, patience and then skill in training!
